Holy Week

Palm Sunday is the beginning of Holy Week. On Palm Sunday, we remember that Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. The people laid their cloaks on the ground and shouted, "Hosanna to the the King!"

On Holy Thursday, Jesus and his friends had a meal that was called the last supper. Jesus gave them bread and wine and washed their feet.

The day after Holy Thursday is Good Friday. On Good Friday, Jesus died on the cross and, on Holy Saturday, Jesus was taken to a tomb and stayed there all night. The next morning, he rose from the dead and that day is called Easter Sunday because Easter eggs represent new life.
