Zoo Trip

It was a beautiful sunny Wednesday morning. Our class had filled up the marble jar with all the marbles and our reward was to go to the Hamilton Zoo.
When everyone had arrived, we all split up into our groups and started to explore. My mum had helped with the transport so she was going to take the people who were in our car around. In my group, there were four kids including me. They were Charlotte, Quinn and Laekin.
At the spider monkey’s cage, there were thick green ropes everywhere. There were also wooden poles in every direction, but some wooden poles were standing straight up. While we were watching the little light brown monkeys, they were showing off their skills and jumping from the highest pole and onto the wire. They also swung from rope to rope.
After we got bored with watching the monkeys swinging and leaping about, we moved on.
We had gone past a few animals when we came to the meerkats' enclosure. There was a tall boy meerkat standing on a large wooden log in their enclosure and another tall girl meerkat standing behind the log on the sandy ground, then we noticed that there were four grey, white and black tiny baby meerkats all trying to dig down into the ground but they couldn’t, sadly, because the sand was too hard for them, so they scurried here and there trying to find a place where they could dig down. In their enclosure, there were large rocks for them to stand on and dig underneath.
We moved onto the next animal - the giraffes. Charlotte was a HUGE! fan of the giraffes. She had a woollen giraffe hat on which she didn’t take off all day. We were all excited to see the giraffes, especially Charlotte.
As we walked down the stony hill, we all talked excitedly about our zoo trip so far, then, in the distance, we saw our first glimpse of the long skinny necked orange giraffes.
When we got to the bottom of the hill, I took out my ipad and took a video, of the giraffes. In the video, one of the giraffes came up to the fence and bent its head down towards us. In their enclosure, there was dust and big poles for the giraffes food. There were some other animals in the enclosure like zebras and cantaloupe and there were two ostriches.
After a little while, we started to head back up the hill so that we could get to the classroom in time because the classroom was all the way at the other side of the zoo.
We got there in good time because we still had a few minutes until it was our turn to go into the classroom. We waited for a few minutes then our whole class was called in. Inside, there were animal bones and skins. Matt told us that the animal skins and bones were once alive, thousands of years ago. Matt told us all that we could have a good look around so we all got up and started to explore.
In the room, there was a glass window, and, behind it, was  a tuatara. There were bones from almost every animal and, in a glass case, there was a display of lots of bird eggs. There was also a dead scorpion and crocodile. Matt said that we could touch the crocodile if we liked.
I thought it had been a lovely day and I can’t wait till next time.

The Zoo Trip

One sunny afternoon, a little girl, the age of five, called Catherine, was experiencing her first zoo trip. She had come with her big brother, Benjamin, who was ten, and her parents.
Catherine wanted to see all the animals but there was one that she particularly wanted to see, and that was the lion cubs.
After a little while, Catherine's mum and dad said that, if Benjamin wanted to, he could take her to the place where the lion cubs were.
Catherine was so excited that she ran over to Benjamin and said, jumping up and down, "Please, please, please, take me to see the lion cubs!”
“Alright, alright, I will, but only if you calm down,” laughed Benjamin.
Benjamin and Catherine walked side by side half of the way, then Catherine started to complain that her legs were sore so he gave her a piggyback the other half of the way.
Soon, in the distance, they saw a little wooden enclosure and they could hear, very faintly, little meows.
There was a zoo keeper waiting patiently outside the door and she beckoned them to come over.
When they stepped inside, the zoo keeper closed the door behind them and told them, “I’m just going to get the food for them.”
“Ok” answered Benjamin.
When they turned around, they were facing the cutest little lion cubs they had ever seen and they looked so soft and cuddly.
“They look so cute, but look at the one at the back. It looks like it is digging underneath the wire,” said Catherine, in a frightened voice.
Benjamin looked at the back of the cage and he, too, saw the cub digging. He thought quickly, picked up the special gloves and wrapped his hands around the waist of the cub. He gently put him up on the shelf where there were beds for them.

Just then, the zoo keeper returned and said, “I’m back with the food for the cubs. Is everything alright?”

“ Yes, everything is ok, thank you,” answered Catherine, in a chirpy voice.

What they didn’t know was, that while Catherine and Benjamin were asking the zoo keeper questions, that little cub was digging under the wires again.
When they turned around to say their goodbyes to the lion cubs, they weren't there any more. At the back of the cage, there was a hole under the wires where the cub had been digging, but there was one little cub, the youngest, named Sunny, fast asleep upon the shelf where the beds were.
“Oh no!” cried the zoo keeper. "Two lion cubs have escaped."
Soon, there was a message going around to the zoo keepers, saying to come to the lion cubs' enclosure at once. The zoo keeper in charge of the lion cubs explained what had happened and told them all to get some special gloves and look all around the zoo in every bush and tree.
The zoo keeper asked Benjamin, "Could you help us look  for the lion cub?”
“Of course I will,” so Benjamin jumped up and grabbed some special gloves and started looking.
“What about me?” asked Catherine, in a confident voice.
“ I have a very special job for you to do.”
“Really! What is it?”
“Can you look after Sunny, that little lion cub, over there for me?”
“Of course.”
So Catherine put food and warm milk in all of the bowls. Afterwards, she chose the smallest pair of gloves and picked up Sunny and put her in her lap. She gently stroked the soft golden fur until it sounded like there was a little motor inside of the little lion cub.
Sunny looked so peaceful that Catherine started to feel sleepy herself and she must have drifted off because, when she woke up, she saw her parents, Benjamin and the zoo keeper all staring down at her.
She then noticed something. Her mum and dad were each holding a lion cub.
Catherine asked, “Did you find the lion cubs?”
“Yes, we did, thankfully,” said the zoo keeper.

Canoeing in Fiji

It was a hot sunny day. We were getting into the canoes because we were going to go canoeing.I was in a canoe with my Aunty Viv and my cousin, Sam. I felt mixed with nervousness and excitement.
When we pushed off, Aunty Viv picked up the oars and started to push them through the clear shimmering water. It looked easy but she told me it was not as easy as it looked.
While Aunty Viv was busy rowing with the oars, Sam and I were looking over the edge to see if we could spot any fish.
As soon as we looked over, we saw schools of colourful fish swimming through the swaying seaweed.
Suddenly, something cold touched my back, so I turned around and I saw Charlotte, Rogen and Dad smiling away.
I scooped some water into my hands and I flung it at them. It went flying at them so they tried to dodge but they did it clumsily and made the canoe rock so they all fell over the edge into the water. Sam and I laughed until we cried.
After that, we all went back to the island. I really hope we do it again sometime, I thought to myself.

Vomo Island

It was a warm sunny day we were nearly at the Island called Vomo Island. I was so excited to see my cousins because I hadn’t seen them in ages.
As we approached Vomo Island, we slowed down the shimmering and sparkling water spread all around the boat and lapped against the sparkling sand. “It looks so pretty.” I told Mum.
After that, we had to walk a little way to get to the van. The van was grey with a red stripe going down the middle of it. We all piled in and, when we were all buckled up, the driver of the van started it up. While I was waiting, I looked out the window and I saw huge trees surrounded by bushes, covered in beautiful flowers of all colours.
When the van stopped and we were out of it, there were quite a lot of people all singing a welcome song in their own language. All of them welcomed us and gave us some different coloured fruit drinks. Our cousins and our aunty and uncle, who had also been singing the welcome song, welcomed us with big hugs, I told them “It’s so good to see you again.”
Samantha gave me a little pink alarm clock and a different coloured bracelet that she had made for me herself. I was very pleased. I gave her a necklace that I had made myself and she smiled at me so I smiled at her. I was as happy as a honey bee with enough honey to last a lifetime.

The Doctors

On Sunday, I had to go to the doctors because the jewel on my earring had gone inside my earlobe.
Fifteen minutes before we started driving to the doctors, Mum put some numbing cream on my ear so that it wouldn’t hurt when the doctor pulled it out. Paige got to come with me to the doctors to keep me company. I felt quite calm but, as we got nearer, I started to feel nervous.
When we got to the doctors, I felt even more nervous than I was before because I was sure it was going to hurt. We had to wait a couple of minutes before it was our turn.
When we went into the room, we met a nurse and her name was Bridget. She was very lovely and kind to me and gave me and Paige a lollipop each. I found out that I had to get a numbing needle in my ear. When the needle went in my ear, it stung so I screamed. ‘Get it out! Get it out!”
Next, the doctor had to pull off the butterfly with the special tweezers. I didn't like the look of them because they looked like scissors. The doctor said it wouldn't hurt so I lay down nervously and waited. When he was pulling it off, I screamed. When the butterfly was off, I sat up and hugged my mum.
Afterwards, the doctor said I had lie down again but I wouldn’t because I knew it would hurt even though the doctor said it wouldn’t. In the end, the doctor said that, if it hurt, he would buy me McDonalds. I lay down nervously after he said that. He used the same tweezers that he had used before. I screamed and kicked because it really hurt.
The doctor now owes me Macdonalds Yay! Paige told me a few jokes which made me smile. I was so proud of myself

Noah Production

Have you heard about the fantastic Noah production St Paul's has been learning for the past 6 weeks? At the very start of the 6 weeks, we were all given parts to play. The penguins that were picked were the best dancers and I hoped that I would be one, and, astonishingly, I was picked to be a penguin. I was so overwhelmed with joy when I found out. We all had to practise almost everyday of the six weeks.
After about three or four weeks, I found out  that I was also going to be a butterfly with Brogan. Each day, when we practised, we learnt our lines - songs and dances - better than the first day.
The week before the show, we had a dress rehearsal. All the costumes fitted everyone and, when I wore my costume, it got very warm. Some people had to get makeup or facepaint. I was one of the people to get makeup on.
On Tuesday, the day before the big night, we had another dress rehearsal.
The next night, I got dressed into my penguin costume and then all the penguins were taken to the back of the hall to wait for the neighbours to finish their dance.
After the neighbours dance, the penguins had to slowly waddle to the stage to give Ethan and Krystle enough time to say their lines.
The penguin dance started off as if it was going to be cute and sweet, but, instead, it went kind of hip hoppy.
After that, we did animal roll call, then we had to go off stage. Brogen and I had to go and get our makeup on while we waited for after half time. We also had to get a blue cloth ready. During two songs, we had to make waves.
At the very end, some other people and I had to sing a rainbow song and, at the end of the song, a big rainbow appeared.
At the grand finale, we sang four songs and then everybody on stage and in the audience cheered and clapped like crazy.

Animals In Zoos

I think that it is cruel to have animals in Zoos. After I tell you my reasons you will definitely agree with me.
My first reason is that they are always locked up in cages. When animals are locked up in cages they fell in prison and have no freedom at all. The have nothing to do they just pace up and down up and down. It Probably makes them feel worse seeing all the people staring at them when they are locked up and can do nothing about it.
My second reason is that they don’t get fed when they want. The animals don’t get food when they want and if they were free they would be able to hunt their own food whenever they like. At zoos they don’t get to hunt down their own food I don’t think that is fair because killing their food is probably the best part for them.

My third reason is that they are taken away for their natural habitat. In the Hamilton zoo there are giraffes they are animals that come from Savannah. In Savannah it is warm but here in NZ it is very cold so when a baby giraffe is born in NZ it will never know what its natural habitat was like because it was born in a zoo.
I hope now that I have told you my reasons why animals shouldn't be kept in zoos you will agree with me. Remember they are locked up, they don’t get fed when they want food and they are taken away from their natural habitat

Skye and Storm

One day near Christmas, a mother and father took home two puppies called Storm and Skye. They put Storm and Skye in a big red box. When the two children got home they hugged their parents then they sat next to the box and the boy said "Picture" so the both posed and their mother and father took a picture then their mother said "Go on! Open it" The two children put their hand on the lid of the box and opened it. Storm and Skye's heads poked out of the box. The two children were overwhelmed and screamed with joy they both cried tears of joy. They each picked up a puppy and the puppies licked the children on the face. Both of the children were extra grateful. All around the room was love and happiness.

El Grego's Wonderful Magic Show

On Friday afternoon, our school went into the hall to watch El Grego, the magician, do magic. He also told us about anti-bullying.
My favourite was the magic wand.
First, El Grego picked someone from the audience. He picked Hunter Rose. Hunter Rose walked up the wooden stairs and over to where El Grego was standing.
El Grego said to her, “Do you want to meet a rare grey bird?”
“Yes please,” answered  Hunter Rose.

El Grego asked his assistant Sue, “Can you go get a wand for this lovely lady please?” so Sue went behind the pitch black curtain and came back with a black and white wand. She gave the wand to Hunter Rose. El Grego had an empty wooden bucket on a wooden table. He told Hunter Rose to wave the black and white wand above the bucket and say “It better work,” so Hunter Rose waved the wand above the  bucket and said, “It better work.”
El Grego picked up the bucket and showed it to the crowd. Everyone started to giggle and point because there was nothing in the bucket.
El Grego asked Sue to bring out a bigger wand. Sue went back behind the pitch black curtain and came back with a bigger black and white wand.
El Grego said to Hunter Rose, “Wave this wand above the bucket and say, “It better work,” so Hunter Rose did that over and over again, until El Grego’s assistant, Sue, came back with a gigantic wand almost the size of the stage, and Hunter Rose waved the wand above the bucket and said, “It better work.”
El Grego put his hand into the bucket and pulled a small grey bird out of the bucket. The crowd cheered and clapped. El Grego told us that the little grey bird was called Ruby. El Grego said to Ruby,
“Speak,” but Ruby said nothing. El Grego told us that she had already learnt how to say 40 words. He also said that kind of bird can learn up to 400 words.
The crowd said, “Wow.”
I thought that the magic show was very interesting and mind tricking, I also really liked the little bird Ruby.

Poem - The Bully

I was once bullied
I hated it
She called me names
Then she started to pull faces
When ever I saw her, I'd scram before she saw me
I wish she would stop
It is so unfair
She snarls and tries to bite
Whenever I see her, I shiver with fright
I wish she would stop, I really do
I try to tell the teachers but they always just say nonsense
I cried and cried but that was no use
I wish I had a friend
But they all just laugh
Then she tried to kick and punch
When ever I went home, I was bruised all over with tear stains on my face
She would tease me and pin me to the ground
"My life is a misery," I thought to myself.

Easter

On Easter morning, I woke up all excited and tingly, so I quickly jumped out of bed onto the soft  carpet to check the time on my pretty pink love clock. It was extra early so I decided to read a chapter of my book. As soon as I started reading, I heard the loud engine of a car come up someones drive. I didn’t know it was coming up our drive because our next door neighbour always comes up her drive at lots of different times.
When I heard a quiet knock at  our glass door, I was surprised because it was really early in the morning,  so I got out of my lovely warm bed into the cold air of the morning and thought, “I am glad I am wearing my nice warm black and white pyjamas,” and went to answer the door.
When I reached the huge window that goes down to the ground and looks out into our drive, I saw a grey van, I thought to myself, “Who could that be?”
I quietly tiptoed into the kitchen then into the lounge, then I saw a face I recognized, Samantha. I thought that I saw another face. This time, it was a boy’s face. “Is that Rogan?” I whispered quietly to myself, then I saw Casey. I ran to the glass door, unlocked the silver latch at the top of the door and quickly opened the door for them and hugged them all hard then I hugged my Aunty Julie and Uncle Aaron, and asked, “Why are you here?”
Aunty Julie answered, “To enjoy Easter with you and have a holiday.” “Awesome,” I said quietly, because I did not want to wake anyone else up. They said to me, “We got you and your little brother a present each.”
“Yay,” I said quietly.
Sammy (Samantha) handed me a box and said in a quiet whisper, “Be careful and gentle with it,” so I slowly lifted the lid off the box and there, huddled in a corner, was the cutest little baby bunny. I squealed loudly, probably too loudly because Mum and Dad got out of bed and came into the lounge, and Dad hugged Uncle Arone  because they are brothers and Mum and Aunty Julie hugged each other then they said, “Happy Easter, kids,” and that is when I remembered.
I raced into my room and switched on my pretty flower lamp and there, at the end of my bed on my pink and white duvet, was a box of white chocolate. I quickly picked up my little brother, Ben, out of his white cot and carried him back out into the lounge carefully. I gave him to my mum and asked if we were allowed to start looking for Easter Eggs now.
They said, "Of course," so we all charged outside onto the veranda where all the birds chirped sweet songs to each other, then I saw a bunny hutch, so I quickly went back inside and grabbed the box with the bunny inside it and put the bunny carefully into the hutch then I went to join the others again. My mum gave me a bucket to put all my Easter Eggs in then we started looking. We looked everywhere but we couldn't find any. I said to them, “Maybe the Easter Bunny hid them inside this year," so we all charged back into the house and started looking around wildly.

I found two Easter Eggs in red and orange tinsel on my mum's light green work table and I found four on top of the toaster with lilac blue and dark purple tinsel, then I went outside onto the back deck and found five packets of Easter Eggs on a window sill. When I was going inside again, on a dark red table, sat three Easter Eggs all in a row. The colours of the tinsel were pink, yellow and green. I picked them up and  raced quickly  back into the lounge where everybody was waiting for me. We all shared out the Easter Eggs fairly. We each got ten, then I picked an extra orange carrot out of the fridge and ran outside and slipped it through the wired netting for my sweet little bunny. I thought, "What should I call her?" She was white and honey coloured and, because it was Easter, I decided to call her Easter.
I picked Easter up and she nuzzled her dark black nose into my warm chest. I cuddled her close and thought, "I think I might take her inside with me to show Mum and Dad," so that is exactly what I did.
When I got back inside with Easter in my arms, I asked them, “What did you get for Ben?” then I saw it. Ben was holding a jet black toy rabbit.
“Cool!” I said.
After that, we were all so tired, all the children sat on one couch and all the adults sat on the other. We all watched movies together then, at some point in the movie, Ben fell asleep. I held Easter tightly so she wouldn’t hop away.
It started getting cold so my dad went and picked up two blankets. One was a  pretty pink and the other was a light green. I cuddled Easter with one hand and cuddled Sammy (Samantha) with the other. It probably was the best Easter ever.

Holy Thursday Liturgy

Holy Thursday Liturgy

It was now the time of Passover. Jesus’ followers came to Him and said, “We will go and prepare everything for the Passover Feast. Where do you want to eat the feast?” Jesus answered, “Go into the city. A man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him. He will go into a house. Tell the owner of the house, “The teacher wants you to prepare the room for the Passover meal.” So the followers left and went into the city and prepared the Passover Feast.
In the evening, Jesus went to that house with the twelve. While they were eating, Jesus took the bread and gave God thanks and praise. He broke the bread, gave it to his disciples, and said: “Take this, all of you, and eat it; this is my body which will be given up for you.”

When supper was ended, he took the cup. Again he gave God thanks and praise, gave the cup to his disciples, and said: “Take this, all of you, and drink from it; this is the cup of my blood, the blood of the new and everlasting covenant. It will be shed for you and for all so that sins may be forgiven. Do this in memory of me.”

After some time, Jesus got up from the table and went to a different part of the room.  He put a large towel around him, making himself look like a servant.  After that, he poured water into a large bowl and began to wash the disciples' feet.  He then dried them with the towel that was wrapped around Him.

When Jesus had finished washing all of the disciples’ feet, he returned to the table.  "Do you understand what I have done for you?"  Jesus asked them.
Jesus is like a King - but even greater than a king, He's the King of Kings!  By washing the disciples’ feet, He was doing something that only a servant would do.
This is an example of how you should treat others.  You don't have to actually wash other people's feet, but do kind things to others and act like a servant for Jesus.

Room 4's Favourite Foods

Live Simply Day

Today is Live Simply Day. We Live a Live Simply Day so that we can stand in solidarity with the poor people in our world. To live simply means to only eat rice and fruit, use no electrical devices, to only walk not use a car, bike or scooter. If you lived simply, you would not be able to afford any books to read.
You would not have clocks and watches, and even no earrings. You probably would not be able to afford anything. Maybe a little food, if you are lucky.

The Hot Air Balloon

This morning Cleo, Amya and I went to the field to ride on a hot air balloon.
When we were waiting in line, Flower, Amaya’s mother, asked if Amaya could go with Cleo and me. I said, “Yes,” so Amaya went with us.
When it was nearly our turn, my heart started to beat very fast because I was so excited. The balloon we went in was yellow, orange and red. We had to be very patient because the line was massive.
When it was finally our turn, a nice lady lifted Cleo and Amaya into the cane basket. I climbed in by myself. A man pulled a lever and there was a stream of fire above our heads. It was really scary at the start but then I got used to it.
We hovered above the ground for a bit then he pulled the lever again and we went up, up, up, in the air so high that he said, “I overdid it.”
Cleo, Amaya and I all looked down. We were up very high. He pulled the lever again but overdid it again, so he said, “We'll just hang up here for a bit, shall we?”
We all said, “OK!” Madeline waved to me so I waved back. Flynn yelled out to me, “The penguin!”
I said, “I’ve got an idea.” I pulled in the line with the penguin attached to it and said, “Time to bungy jump, Mrs Penguin,” so off went the penguin. It did not go far though because the line was very short. When we started going down, I pulled up the penguin so it wouldn’t get squashed.
When we were on the ground, I felt very proud of myself because that was the first time I had been in a hot air balloon.

Waka Racing

Today, we walked to the riverbank to watch the Regatta waka races.
When we got to the riverbank, we sat down to watch the races. The water was sparkling and the crowd on the other side of the river was shading under tent tops. Some crews were getting into the waka to go up-river for their races.
Harrigan’s crew was racing next. We were feeling extra excited and nervous at the exact same time. When the race started, everyone started chanting “Go St Pauls!" as Harrigan’s crew rowed in the gleaming water.
As they got nearer and nearer to the finish line, everyone shouted and screamed, “Go St Pauls!” then everyone started to clap because they had won. Everyone was clapping so loud it sounded like there was an earthquake and even some people were jumping up and down in excitement. Everyone had a great big smile on their faces when the race was finished.

My Shell

I call my shell a luck shell because, when I went to swimming interschool's, it gave me lots of luck.
I think the shell came from a faraway beach.
The shell is very smooth and it's got light brown on half, and white on the other side.

Swimming Sports

Yesterday, our school had our swimming sports at the Ngaruawahia Town Pools.

It was  time for the Flying Squadron  race. All the house captains were getting us all ready to race against the other  houses yellow, red, blue and green and if you're wondering what house I’m in? I am in the BLUE HOUSE! As the house captains were getting us ready, I was getting very nervous  and my heart was beating very fast. Jessica, our house captain, said that Serenity and I had to start in the deep end. Paige and Liam started in the shallow end then Mr K blew his whistle. The little kids in the little pool started to swim and then one little kid tagged Quinn and she started to swim to me. When she was nearly there, I jumped in and started swimming in the ice cold water. I was glad that the water was ice cold because my neck felt like it was on fire. I was nearly there when Paige jumped in and started to swim. Madeline and I were both in the race so we started talking together. The sun made the water in the pool look like a picture that had been covered with glitter. The blue house and red house tied with third, green house came second and yellow house came first. Hurray for them.

Holy Spirit Symbols

The symbols of the Holy Spirit are water, fire, the dove and oil. Water reminds me of the Holy Spirit because the Holy Spirit comes to us at Baptism and water is used, as well.

Honey Bees

Honeybees are small insects that fly around and collect pollen. They also help all the fruit and veggies grow in our gardens.

What Do They Look Like?
Honeybees are small golden and black striped insects. They have a small body made of three parts - the head, thorax and abdomen. Honeybees have two straight antenna and two compound eyes. They also have four wings, a small sharp stinger, six legs and a pollen basket. Where Do They Live? Honeybees live all over the world except for the cold places like North Pole and Antarctica. They like to live in warm places where there are flowers. They can also live on bee farms and beehives. They also can’t live in the desert because there are no flowers. Honeybees live on some farms because they help with all the fruit and veggies. They can also live in colonies made up of the queen, worker bees and drones.
Giving Birth
The Queen lays lots of eggs, probably at least over 4000. The drones mate with the queen. When babies are born they metamorphosis. They start off as eggs and then they turn into larva and then into a adult bee. They could be a drone or a worker bee, Worker bees are girls and drones are boys.
How Long Do Honey Bees Live?
Queen bees can live up to 7 years while worker bees and drones can only live for a few months, otherwise a few weeks.
What Do They Do?

Honey bees collect nectar to make honey. They get nectar from flowers. They use their long tube-like tongues like a long straw to suck up all the nectar and store it in their honey stomachs until they get back to the hive. Bees have two stomachs, their honey stomach and their normal stomach. They have to go to 1000 flowers to fill their honey stomachs. After they have visited 1000 flowers, they return to the hive and pass the nectar to another bee. The other worker puts its tube-like tongue down into the other worker’s mouth into the honey stomach then the other bee sucks and chews on the nectar for half an hour. After half an hour, the bee then spreads all the honey into the wax cells where water evaporates from it, making a thicker syrup. The bees fan the nectar with their wings to help it dry. Once the honey is thick enough and dry enough, the bee seals up the honeycomb with a plug of wax. It is the ready to collect.
How Do Bees Communicate?
They do a dance like this - waggle to the left, waggle to the right, for excellent direction, when workers are in flight.
