Waitangi Day is a national holiday to celebrate when the Treaty of Waitangi was signed and NZ became known as a nation called New Zealand. The Treaty of Waitangi was signed on February 6, 1840, at Waitangi in the Bay of Islands. 500 Maori Chiefs and the representatives of the Queen signed the Treaty.
This year, on Waitangi Day, I went to Flynn and Regan’s. They had set up the waterslide. When we were going down the waterslide, we were like a train.
After that, we went on the flying fox to dry off then we went on the waterslide again. When I went down I twisted my ankle.
