Canoeing in Fiji

It was a hot sunny day. We were getting into the canoes because we were going to go canoeing.I was in a canoe with my Aunty Viv and my cousin, Sam. I felt mixed with nervousness and excitement.
When we pushed off, Aunty Viv picked up the oars and started to push them through the clear shimmering water. It looked easy but she told me it was not as easy as it looked.
While Aunty Viv was busy rowing with the oars, Sam and I were looking over the edge to see if we could spot any fish.
As soon as we looked over, we saw schools of colourful fish swimming through the swaying seaweed.
Suddenly, something cold touched my back, so I turned around and I saw Charlotte, Rogen and Dad smiling away.
I scooped some water into my hands and I flung it at them. It went flying at them so they tried to dodge but they did it clumsily and made the canoe rock so they all fell over the edge into the water. Sam and I laughed until we cried.
After that, we all went back to the island. I really hope we do it again sometime, I thought to myself.
