On Sunday, I had to go to the doctors because the jewel on my earring had gone inside my earlobe.
Fifteen minutes before we started driving to the doctors, Mum put some numbing cream on my ear so that it wouldn’t hurt when the doctor pulled it out. Paige got to come with me to the doctors to keep me company. I felt quite calm but, as we got nearer, I started to feel nervous. When we got to the doctors, I felt even more nervous than I was before because I was sure it was going to hurt. We had to wait a couple of minutes before it was our turn.
When we went into the room, we met a nurse and her name was Bridget. She was very lovely and kind to me and gave me and Paige a lollipop each. I found out that I had to get a numbing needle in my ear. When the needle went in my ear, it stung so I screamed. ‘Get it out! Get it out!”
Next, the doctor had to pull off the butterfly with the special tweezers. I didn't like the look of them because they looked like scissors. The doctor said it wouldn't hurt so I lay down nervously and waited. When he was pulling it off, I screamed. When the butterfly was off, I sat up and hugged my mum.
Afterwards, the doctor said I had lie down again but I wouldn’t because I knew it would hurt even though the doctor said it wouldn’t. In the end, the doctor said that, if it hurt, he would buy me McDonalds. I lay down nervously after he said that. He used the same tweezers that he had used before. I screamed and kicked because it really hurt.
The doctor now owes me Macdonalds Yay! Paige told me a few jokes which made me smile. I was so proud of myself
